CPSC-only, full-history by default.

Real scans use the full historical CPSC recall cache by default, not a recent-window sample. Historical recalls still matter for resale because recalled products do not become harmless just because the recall is old.

02 Default scan

Full historical cache.

Buyer scans use full historical CPSC recall cache (9,828 records, 1973-06-08 to 2026-05-28). Recent-window scans are not acceptable for resale exposure.

03 Refresh

Daily sync check.

The scheduled sync rebuilds the local CPSC cache and public sample assets. The public benchmark currently has 0 hard failures.

What this source scope does not cover.

  • No image matching, customer notification automation, or automatic takedown workflow.
  • No claim that CPSC records contain every UPC, model, serial range, retailer, or variant.

Evidence classes

  • Hard identifier match: exact UPC or exact structured model evidence. Can produce Suppress.
  • Fuzzy text overlap: brand, title, category, or partial model text. Manual Review only.
  • No visible source match: no visible match found in scanned CPSC sources as of scan time.
